I cannot take off his cone because he will start licking his stitches. Not wanting to disturb Yvon, I ended up taking Poutine to the living and sleep on the couch with him on my laps. I determined to keep his cone on because he has to wear it for 2 weeks. He has to get used to it one way or the other. Needless to say, he fussed many times throughout the night, and I only caught a few sleeps here and there.
Poutine is still very paralyzed from the waist down. My husband had to take him to the training pad, supported him in a standing position so he could pee. I have to give him medication 3 times a day - 6:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Putting ice pack on his knees in between.
For the majority of the day, Poutine just rest on our laps and not moving to much.
Resting on Yvon's laps with Migo
Putting cold pack on leg (not too impressed)
