Five days after the surgery. Poutine is more alert and the brat within him is starting to come out. My husband babies him to the extreme and he knows it. Now Poutine is whining not because of pain or discomfort, but purely to get attention and get what he wants. I might have a monster in my hands by the end of this recovery!
I am still having problems giving Poutine the pills. The ritual always takes at least 5 attempts which includes me yelling, Poutine struggling, spitting, gagging, mouth foaming, and profane thoughts coming from both of us.
He is walking a few more steps each day, but not 100% stable. He pees more regularly now (with us taking him to the training pad), but hasn't pooped since last time on Sunday. I'm starting to worry about that.
