Why Harness Instead of Collar?

Dog collars are good when you are training your pet for tricks or when you want to attach a dog tag.  However, collars could potentially harm the delicate necks of small dogs.  Worse, it could damage their spine by accidental jerk on the leash attached to the dog collar.

Harness are comfortable and relieve your small pet from neck strain. Since the harness is fitted comfortable around the chest, every time your dog pulls away, the weight is evenly distributed through out the shoulders. There is no risk of throat injury, and no more of the choking sound. Because harnesses don't put pressure on the throat, they're recommended for dogs who have an upper respiratory disease or diseases of the throat or trachea. Pulling puts a lot of pressure on the throat and trachea, causing irritation and coughing; harnesses relieve that pressure and allow you to walk your dog safely.

Harnesses come in all shapes and sizes. We always use harness when we walk Migo and Poutine.
